Hello, one and all. Since I first cracked open Hollow Knight a few years ago I had been forcefully thrust into the world of Metroidvanias. Since then I've played many other Metroidvanias and through these fantastic experiences and equally fantastic games, I learned that making a Metroidvania is a giant feat. Since then I have learned how to develop games and after around a year of learning, I have decided to attempt making one.
I present to you my first Metroidvania, Dycent. I want to encapsulate a dark theme about a murder mystery in a sepia colour scheme. I will be separating the game into two parts. A mystery top-down adventure and a Metroidvania. You as the protagonist, Angie will try and discover what lies in the catacombs under St. Helena's School for Gifted Children.
